Select the floor
plan that suits your needs - There are virtually an unlimited number of
possibilities for you to consider. Your Roland Homes counselor will guide
you and explain how take advantage of the flexibility in our plans.
Customize your
plan and pick options for your lifestyle - Every Roland Home is treated
as a custom project, and you are a key part of the decision process to put
your personal touch on your new home.
Choose a home
site - Your Roland Homes counselor will show you neighborhood choices to
fit your preferences, and will go over the plat maps with you to point out
available sites. A visit to the site should be planned to be sure it is what
you want.
Complete the
paperwork—Contract and Descriptive Supplement Agreement - Don’t worry,
you’re not alone. Your counselor will walk you through the details and
answer your questions.
Make your
deposit - This is “earnest” money to confirm your purchase plans and
secure your new Roland Home.
Meet with a
qualified mortgage professional - There is no substitute for
professionalism at this stage. Once again, your counselor will make sure
your mortgage arrangements are done right and the price and terms are
“locked in.” You may find our pre-qualification and payment calculators
helpful.
Review the
drawing of your new home with Phil Roland and your counselor - Here is
your chance to get to know your builder and the rest of your Roland Homes
team. This is the time to be sure your desires are understood.
Begin
construction - You may want to snap some pictures throughout the
construction process for your scrapbook. You will need to make personal
color selections, and all the optional choices—from brick and flooring to
cabinets and appliances.
Start making
arrangements to move in - You should plan on moving into your new Roland
Home in 90 to 120 days. Your home is inspected every step of the way and
will have passed all code requirements before it is turned over to you.
There are a gazillion details to take care of besides careful packing and
labeling boxes. Refer to our Moving Guide to help organize your move.
Close the deal
- This makes everything official. You will get a walk-through inspection, a
closing date will be set, and you will get a letter confirming the final
price to closing. When the documents are signed and the loan is funded, we
will hand you the keys. You will also receive a detailed warranty document
and instructions on caring for your new Roland Home.
